Participants of Minsk Edge Day were beaten and made to face the wall. The incident occurred at “210 metrov” in Chapayev Street 3 in Minsk on the evening of October 14. The concert of four Russian and Belarusian bands on Minsk Edge Day 2017 was scheduled to take place there.

Riot policemen rushed in and started brutally detaining musicians and visitors, Belsat reports. There were three buses full of policemen. Half of the viewers were taken to the department store Belarus and let off. The others were taken to Minsk Partyzanski District Department of the Interior and were allowed to leave late in the evening. 10 people were taken to Akrestsina Street.

Vyachaslau Kasinerau and his wife, Alyaksei Horbach and the musicians were delivered to Akrestsina Street detention centre after 9 p.m.

Adherents of Straight Edge do not take drugs, do not drink alcohol and smoke, do not take medicines and are against libertinism. Many of them are vegetarians or vegans. Sometimes they do not drink coffee.

Most of the people who wanted to attend the concert are representatives of the anti-fascist movement.
