Photos of hospital meals from different countries are being published on the Internet. There is no Belarus there. Let us compare Belarusian hospital meals with food served in foreign hospitals. Euroradio listeners have sent us photos of hospital meals from different cities but they are all alike.
First lunch: borsch, boiled pearl barley, vegetable stew and a famous bread chop.
Second lunch: tinned fish soup, porridge, stewed chicken and compote.
Third lunch: soup, potatoes with stewed meat, bread and compote (of course!).
Fourth lunch: Soup, boiled pearl barley and a piece of mat. Everything is served in tinware.
Nothing has changed in hospital food since the Soviet time, one of the readers told Euroradio. However, the food allowance was reduced by 20% in 2015.
