Famous biathlete Anastasiya Kuzmina, 35, has ended her professional career due to some health problems and lack of time.
"The last six months have seen many changes in my life," Kuzmina writes. "I really hoped that the new stage in my life would be painless, but I realized that I could not cope with the pace of "normal life" and the constant desire to keep fit at the appropriate level for successful participation in competitions. A lot of responsibilities and little time for recovery are not the best combination for a maximalist who tried to jump above her head for the best reasons".
Kuzmina is a native of Tyumen. She used to compete for the Russian national team, but in 2007 together with her husband moved to Slovakia to join the Slovak national team. The biathlete is a three-time Olympic champion.
