The largest Ukrainian airline Ukraine International Airlines is in talks with Belavia about the organization of transit through Minsk to the Russian cities. As reported by RIA Novosti, they are also discussing the increase in the number of flights to the Belarusian capital.

The issue became topical after the Federal Air Transport Agency informing on Tuesday the Ukrainian airlines flying into the territory of Russia, that on October 25, there will be introduced a ban on flights into the Russian Federation and from it. The ban will be active until a similar decision is not canceled by the Ukrainian authorities with regard to the Russian airlines.

According to the President of the Ukraine International Airlines, Yuriy Miroshnikov, the Ukrainian side plans to increase the number of flights up to the maximum permitted today. He hopes that the Belarusians do the same, plan to use "the aircraft of maximum capacity." If this is not enough, Ukraine International Airlines will appeal to the aviation authorities with a proposal to hold talks with Belarus to increase the number of flights.
