The world's number one tennis player Aryna Sabalenka announced that she has already decided on the date and venue of her wedding. In March, the tennis player received a proposal from businessman Georgios Frangulis.
"I don't want a big wedding — 300 people at most. With a grand party where everyone has fun", — says the athlete.
"Well yes, just 300 guests — you could call it a modest, intimate celebration", — people joke on social media.
At the end of 2020, the tennis player signed a pro-government letter by Belarusian athletes, and at the beginning of 2021 she took part in the New Year's televised address by Alexander Lukashenko, which drew criticism from the international community.
After the start of the war in Ukraine, Sabalenka faced pressure and a boycott from some Ukrainian athletes. In June 2023, she stated that she does not support either the war or Alexander Lukashenko.
In subsequent interviews, the tennis player emphasizes that she is opposed to military action, focuses exclusively on her sports career, and avoids political commentary.
