Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka has become the World No.20 for the first time in her career.
Sabalenka was in the 25th position in the WTA rankings a week ago. She has managed to go up by five positions thanks to her victory at the Connecticut Open in New Haven, USA.
Aliaksandra Sasnovich is the World No.34, Vera Lapko is in the 72nd position and Victoria Azarenka – in the 79th position.
All the four Belarusian tennis players will feature in the singles at the US Open in New York. The main stage of the tournament will start on August 27 and end on September 9.
