The Belarusian State Broadcasting Company has received an application for TV debates from Mikalai Ulahovich, BELTA reports. He is the third candidate wishing to take part in the debates. Syarhei Haidukevich and Tatstsyana Karatkevich applied earlier. Supposedly, Alyaksandr Lukashenka does not want to participate in the debates.
According to the CEC, TV debates can be organized if at least two presidential candidates express a desire to take part in them.
The TV debates of presidential candidates will be broadcast on Belarus 1 on October 3. They will start at 5 p.m. The TV debates will last for 60 minutes. By the way, accredited representatives are allowed to replace candidates at the debates.
