On December 10, Stockholm hosted the Nobel Prize awardign ceremony (in physics, chemistry, economic sciences, physiology and medicine). Belarusian writer Svetlana Alexievich received the prize in literature from King Carl XVI Gustaf.
During the celebratory banquet, Alexievich will deliver a speech where she is expected to recall Belarus. During the recent Nobel lecture, the writer spoke almost exclusively about her work, which brought her a lot of criticism.
