The organizers of a punk concert in Hrodna have been fined for 25 million roubles.
Hrodna Court has fined the organizers of the concert given by Deviation frontman Stas Pachobut for 25 million roubles, tuzin.fm reports.
Pachobut gave a concert in the bar Underground at the end of April but the event had not been approved by Hrodna Executive Committee ideology department. The concert resulted in a sandal: the bar owner snatched the microphone out of the singer’s hands and turned off the light because she did not like the song You Father is a Fascist.
The organizer of the concert did not attend the trial because he had not received any subpoena, Pachobut said.
It was a rare concert given by the frontman of the punk band Deviation at home. He left Belarus six years ago. The musician lives in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Stas Pachubut keeps writing songs there. He presented his new acoustic album TunyayaDZets last year.
