Food products get more expensive in Minsk faster than nationwide

In Minsk food rises in price faster than in Belarus, tut.by reports with reference to the National Statistical Committee. In September, food prices in Belarus increased by 1.5%. At the same time in Minsk prices grew by 2%.

Most of all in Minsk in September rose the price of oil (13.7%), fruits (13.2%), vegetables (10.3%), sausage (3.9%) and bakery products (3%). In September, fell the price of potatoes (15.1%), sugar and bread.

Prices for non-food products in Minsk in September rose by 2.2%, while in Belarus as a whole - only by 1.3%. most affected by price rise in Minsk were footwear (4.8%), cleaning products (3.8%) and carpets (3.6%). Only bicycles and motorcycles became cheaper (-1.2%). The prices for stationery, which in August were among the leaders of price ris cyclee, remained the same.
