The Committee of Soldiers’ Mothers has joined the investigation of Alyaksandr Korzhych’s death in Pechy, Belarus 1 reports.
Members of this women’s organization visited Pechy training centre #72 on October 18. They met with the commanders and the personnel and talked to the perished soldier’s colleagues.
“There are forces trying to use this tragedy and our grief for this young man and his mother. Please, do not use it for your selfish ends,” chairperson of he Republican Committee of Soldiers’ Mothers Halina Chyhrynava told journalists.
The Investigation Committee has already detained 10 people in connection with this case – seven sergeants, the sergeant major and two officers. A number of officers who were in charge of the military unit in Pechy have been dismissed, the Ministry of Defence announced.
