The forum “Bolshevist Terror. Right to Know the Truth” has been organized in Minsk. A number of representatives of civil organizations and parties have taken part in it.

The forum participants demanded to remove the security label from all documents dating back to 1917-1953 kept in Belarus and to send the cases of all people repressed in 1920-1970 to the archives. All documents dating back to more than 75 years ago should become accessible as they are not affected by privacy restrictions, the press service of the movement For Freedom reports.

The state must find, denote and name all the places of mass shooting and burial and to acquit repression victims, the forum participants think.

They have also demeaned to introduce administrative responsibility “for refuting the fact of Stalin’s repressions and for the propaganda of Stalinism”.

Chairperson of the movement for Freedom Yury Hubarevich has suggested studying the period of repressions during history classes at school. He also suggested a special class for KGB and MIA employees and for military men. They need to understand that if they obey superior orders violating the law, they will be made responsible for it later,” the politician thinks.

The forum resolution will be presented to the state structures.
