The action Chernobyl Way allowed by the authorities was held in Minsk on April 26. People walked from the cinema house Katsrychnik towards Bangalore Square. They were supposed to take part in a meeting dated for the 30th anniversary of Chernobyl disaster there but the organizers refused from this plan. The police did not fulfill the promise to check people before letting them enter the area, they explained.
The action participants commemorated the victims of Chernobyl with a minute’s silence and then most of them left. Some poeple visited the Chernobyl chapel.
