Belarusian papaya? Russia demands explanation

The Russian agricultural inspectorate has demanded to explain the origin of Belarusian papaya, citrus plants, apples, melons, watermelons and lettuce. The products ‘made’ in Belarus were exported to Russia off-season, the inspectorate notes.

 

Belarusian strawberries, raspberries and gooseberries are also from third states, the inspectorate claimed. The Russian Agricultural Inspectorate has asked the Belarusian Ministry of Agriculture and Nutrition to clarify the issue in order of prevent the penetration of suspicious products to the Russian Federation.
