The Ministry of Taxes and Duties (MTD) announced that foreign resources that do not pay taxes into the country's budget will have their access restricted.
At the same time, the ministry transparently threatened to block a "international music service" in Belarus. Most likely, the reference is to Spotify — this service has already been on the list of "debtors" maintained by the Belarusian tax inspectorate for half a year.
"But why would a foreign company, say, a Swedish one, care about the quality of service, when subscribers have paid in advance and it has no intention of satisfying their complaints. Sweden is far away, and so is Belarus. No trains go there, no planes fly there," — the MTD writes in its Telegram channel.
Spotify is registered in Sweden.
