Belarus bans imports of Russian jams and condiments

Belarus has banned the import of some Russian food products, the website of the Minsk regional center for hygiene, epidemiology and public health reports.

The ban covers ground nutmeg by "Vkusmaster" made by the "Russkaya Bakaleynaya Kompaniya" LLC. Belarusian epidemiologists say that this product does not meet the standards for microbiological parameters.

Also forbidden for import is cherry jam in plastic buckets produced by the "Smolensky Cannery" LLC. There jam experts found the E122 dye. It is not part of the substances permitted for the production of jams.
