The Ministry of Antimonopoly regulation and trade will try to solve the problem of regional trade wars. Products made in one province are not allowed to be sold in the other provinces sometimes, Minister of Trade Uladzimir Kaltovich said on Belarus 1 on the evening of June 5.
The new institution will be created in the Ministry of Trade within three months.
‘The trade wars’ are the result of local authorities’ orders, Kaltovich said. That is why antimonopoly services and trade inspectorates will no longer be subordinate to regional executive committees and Minsk City Executive Committee. The new Ministry will keep vigilant watch on it and will make sure that products from all over the country are available in all the provinces, the Minister claimed.
